Message On our cars it is a line drawn through the lower ball joint and the upper pivot of the knuckle. On strut designed cars, it goes through the center of the strut. Kingpin angle, or Kingpin Inclination Angle (KIA) controls how steering adds positive or negative camber a you turn. It can also affect handling characteristics. Read as much as you can about suspension setup, it will sound like latin at first, but as you read and drive your car, it will start to make sense. MotoIQ and Modified mag (formerly SCC) have very thorough article on suspension mechanics and tuning.
